For oxygen sensors of combustion control, the Oxyfire high-temperature series is perfect for furnaces, boilers and incinerators.

Oxygen Sensors for Combustion Control

Oxyfire High-Temperature Series

This in-situ oxygen sensor measures oxygen concentrations directly in the "high heat" zones of high temperature furnaces, boilers and incinerators. They are intrinsically safe, requiring no electrical input power, and generating only a low millivolt output. For product literature please click here (requires Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader).

  • Available in a number of standard lengths up to 48" (1200 mm)

  • Field performance can be easily verified using integral calibration gas port

  • "B", "S", and "R" thermocouples are available

  • Alumina, Silicon Carbide, HR160 Alloy and Zirconia protection sheaths are available

  • CE Marked and TUV Certified

  • Intrinsically Safe per EN50 014 (1977) clause 1.3

  • Temperature Range: 1200 °F to 3000 °F (649-1648°C)

  • Robust design eliminates "auxiliary sheaths" required on lower quality products

  • Proven track record: used in more furnaces, boilers and incinerators than all other high-temp probes combined.

  • Longest life available

  • No drift or accuracy problems common to "side hole" probes.

  • High quality construction eliminates the need for cooling air - one more failure point in low-end designs

  • Patented "boot" provides fast response while protecting the outer electrode and preventing the accuracy problems that plague foil-based electrodes.

  • Proprietary, application-specific installation configurations maximize life and accuracy in high-slag environments

  • Machined 6061T6 aluminum head provides air-tight enclosure for electrical connections

  • Classified configurations available

  • 12-month warranty

High Temperature OX Probe

This twenty-year-old design is often imitated but never equaled for economical oxygen sensing. Marathon's OX probe is the original "side-hole" high-temperature oxygen probe and the industry's best, most proven, low-cost solution for customers that want reasonable accuracy at the lowest possible price. The key components of the OX are replaceable and while it is not recommended for demanding applications such as steel reheat furnaces, glass furnaces, boilers and incinerators, it is well suited to less demanding applications such as annealing and threshold alarming. Owing to its side-hole design it exhibits lower accuracy and measurable drift when compared Marathon's Oxyfire. The side-hole design also makes it susceptible to slag, making an auxiliary sheath necessary in dirty environments.

  • Proven track record no imitators can match

  • Porous outer-electrode pad provides higher accuracy compared with tight, "foil" electrode designs

  • Warranted component replacement service available

  • No cooling air required

  • Warranted for a full year

  • Available in insertion lengths up to 42"

  • Temperature Range: 1200 °F to 3000 °F (649-1648°C)

  • "B", "S", and "R" thermocouples are available

  • Field performance can be easily verified using integral calibration gas port

LOROX Low-Temperature Range Series

This in-situ oxygen sensor is the most valued engineered sensor in its class, with response times of less than 3 seconds. Unlike competing sensors, the LOROX can be maintained and repaired while in place, saving wasteful downtime while minimizing risk of damage. This sensor has been designed to directly replace other popular zirconia sensors without modifications to wiring or physical mounting arrangements.

  • Available in standard lengths up to 144" (3646 mm)

  • Digital or Analog Electronic available

  • Temperature Range: Ambient to 1250°F

The Sentinel-ESTM from Marathon Sensors is a breakthrough, cost-effective solution for monitoring oxygen concentration in applications running at temperatures or with environments too hostile or impractical to use in-situ probes. With a replacement (not rebuild) cost less than one-third that of conventional probes, the Sentinel-ESTM is an ideal solution for trouble-free and cost-effective extractive oxygen sensing..
